As I reached the top, I looked around. Exhausted, exhilarated and accomplished. I made it and there was nothing stopping me. I’d never felt so alive. My head was in the clouds, literally. There was white everywhere, so much that we couldn’t even see the view from the highest peak in the state. I’d made it. The rain was hitting me like tiny pellets – freezing cold, my hands had begun to cramp, my nose felt frozen, but that didn’t matter. It was so exhilarating. After everything I had just been through, this felt AMAZING.
